ENERGY ANALYSISWe have a common sense approach to reduce your long term energy costs.
Today’s commercial buildings demand 70% of our national electrical supply and 39% of overall energy resources. In response to this, building codes are requiring strict adherence to requirements that will help lower energy consumption for new construction and major renovation projects. While these policies and procedures are a step in the right direction, the fact remains that there are still billions of square feet of existing facilities that were designed, constructed, and commissioned prior to the implementation of these guidelines. As energy costs continue to rise, finite natural resources are depleted and concerns on how buildings affect the environment are more openly expressed. Consequently, facility owners and planners are looking for intuitive ways to build, operate, and maintain their investments in the most efficient/cost-effective and eco-friendly manners possible.

The design and construction of a facility is not an easy task. After the turnover and occupancy of a building, the process of properly operating and maintaining a facility becomes a large responsibility for owners, tenants, and service providers.
Whether a building is new or existing, the Sustainable Building Solutions team can audit and assess a building.
Focusing primarily on the building’s envelope (façade, roof), mechanical and electrical systems, SBS will develop recommendations based on a facility walkthrough and review of the building’s energy use data.
The report that Sustainable Building Solutions generates will detail the available means and methods, corresponding costs and return on investment/payback analyses for each strategy as well as provide the option to proceed with procurement and facility upgrades. Each phase of the process is available as an independent service or complete design/build turn-key proposal.

Energy efficiency does not have to mean large capital expenditures. Our approach to client satisfaction is respectful and conscientious of fiscal responsibility and to that end we admire conservative/modest improvement procedures and principles. Through our years of experience as facility Energy Analysts and consultants, the most frequently revisited subject is how quickly some of our recommended improvements can put extra money in the client’s hands.
Aside from residential/personal home tax deductions, rebates, and government incentives available to the average consumer, there are also numerous cost-saving strategies and opportunities available to small and large organizations. For the last several years federal, state, and local government agencies have sponsored programs that encourage efficiency and reward companies that embrace initiatives in support of lower energy consumption.
The principals and staff of Sustainable Building Solutions are committed to researching incentives available for our clients and coordinating with the respective agencies hosting the rebates or grants, administering the application process and providing overall support until funds are dispersed to the client.
