the direct path to sustainability

Sustainable Building Solutions and Hunzinger Construction Company recorded its best attendance for the Green Building Conference in the past five years.

Representatives from 75 different companies across industries came out to learn about sustainability and green building practices.

We hosted keynote speakers Rob Zimmerman, Director of Sustainability at Kohler Company, and Molly Dunlap, Project Manager & Sustainability Specialist at Eppstein Uhen Architects.

Zimmerman discussed the sustainability practices that Kohler Company implements for their products, reduce waste in landfills and provide clean water to developing countries.

Dunlap introduced many of the audience members to the WELL Building Standard, while also discussing LEED standards.

“Our 11th Green Building Conference was a great success. It was one of our best attended conferences in years. It is great to see that not only is the green building industry still relevant, its interest brings the attention of building owners, architects, and contractors alike,” said Phil Vetterkind Director of Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS).

The WELL Building Standard is a performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact human health and well-being, through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, and mind. She also presented her own project experience pursuing LEED, WELL and lessons learned.

Attendees were eligible for two LEED continuing education credits and AIA CEUs.

This engaging breakfast brings together like minds of the industry to learn more about how we can utilize our skills to reduce waste and keep the planet green. We look forward to seeing you all next year!
