Rating 1: LEED EB Gold Certification

The High Pointe Office Center, located at 1200 North Mayfair Road in Milwaukee was awarded a Gold-level Certification under the USGBC’s LEED for Existing Buildings program. This achievement was made possible by a strong commitment from the building’s owner, Wangard Partners, to enhance sustainability practices and energy efficiencies related to the operations and maintenance of the building. Sustainable Building Solutions served as LEED consultant for the project.

LEED EB Gold Certification of High Pointe Office Center features include the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates and carbon offsets to equal High Pointe’s electricity and gas usage for the next two years, making High Pointe a ‘Net Zero’ and carbon neutral building; Energy Star score of 89, placing it in the top 11% of office buildings nationwide; implementing sustainable and environmentally-sound policies that affect every aspect of operations and maintenance of the building; creating a comprehensive recycling policy; and, requiring all contractors that perform work in High Pointe to adhere to LEED Existing Building criteria.
